The acrylic plastic materials are used to simulate the twisted form of flower petals when damaged, and the device is installed with a sensing system that will close when people approach to a certain distance, indirectly expressing the need for humans to maintain a moderate distance from nature. This device is named A Flower Tells, meaning that even the plants cannot speak but they can "tell" the damage they have suffered in this way.
Through this graduation project, I realized that learning is a process of continuous accumulation. What I previously understood was only superficial, and it taught me that in my future work and life, I should constantly learn and strive to enrich my brain. After nearly a month of hard work, my graduation project has finally been completed. This graduation project is different from previous course designs, with a wide range of knowledge, complete materials, and a large engineering scale. The graduation project is not only a test of the knowledge learned earlier, but also an improvement of one's own abilities. Through this graduation project, I realized that my previous knowledge was relatively lacking and there was still a lot to learn.
This graduation design art installation is a new attempt, but also a bold choice. I have been studying courses related to architecture and landscape design. In the end, I chose public art installation as my graduation project because I think it is a very interesting design field, which can contain all design ideas and then present them in different ways. At the beginning, I had a lot of ideas. After all, I did not know how to present my own design ideas when I first came into contact with this aspect. After repeated discussions and arrangement, the scheme became clearer and clearer. I felt very happy and satisfied at the moment when I saw my design idea turned into a entity in front of my eyes. The process of completing the work together with my team members was also an unforgettable memory.
